Football games, scored like nobody else
Who we are
We're Journeyman: a small, independent football games team, made up of fans who watch too much football and argue about it even more. UnderPar is our main game.
We got tired of fantasy football where everyone has the same team. Same Haaland, same João Pedro, same points. So we built UnderPar: football scored like golf. Every player gets a PAR, the match rating we expect from him. Pick a new XI every week, beat their PARs, and the lowest score wins.
Play your mates in private leagues. Join a league by entering its code, or start up to three leagues of your own. Each one gets its own unique code to send to your mates.
Alongside it we run four daily puzzle games for anyone who knows their football.
How to play
- The player's senior career is shown one spell at a time, in order. You get the years, and a Loan sticker if it was a loan.
- Name the club first. Get it right and the shirt changes into that club's kit.
- Then you get one guess at his league goals for that spell. Exact counts as 1, 1–3 off is 2, 4–6 off is 3, 7–10 off is 4, and anything further is 6.
- Every club guess counts as one, and you get 5 tries. Miss all five and the club appears automatically, counting as 6. The Reveal button does the same at any time.
- Aim for the lowest score you can. A new player arrives at midnight (UK time).

Gameweeks
Every published Gameweek is kept exactly as it was. PARs never change once they're published.
How UnderPar works
Pick any 11 players for the Gameweek. There's no budget and no bench, and you can build a completely new team every week.
- Exactly 1 goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders, at least 3 midfielders and no more than 3 attackers.
- Players from at least 6 different clubs. One club can supply 3 players; every other club is capped at 2.
- Change your team as often as you like until the deadline, 90 minutes before the first kick-off. The XI you've saved at the deadline is your entry.
Every player has a PAR: the FotMob rating we expect from him in that fixture. Stronger players and easier fixtures carry a tougher PAR. PARs are published before the window opens and never change afterwards.
Scoring is like golf. Each player scores his PAR minus his final FotMob rating, so beating PAR gives a negative score. Your Gameweek score is the total of your 11. Lowest wins.
- PAR 7.9, rating 8.5: −0.6
- PAR 7.2, rating 7.2: 0.0
- PAR 7.5, rating 6.8: +0.7
- Didn't play, or played without getting a FotMob rating: +0.3
- Match postponed: 0.0
Private leagues. Go to the Leagues tab to play your mates. Enter a code to join a friend's league, or start up to 3 leagues of your own. Each league gets its own unique code to share.
- Everyone in a league sees the table: each team's Gameweek score and season total. Lowest season total leads.
- Other teams' XIs stay hidden until the deadline, then anyone in the league can tap a team to see it.
- A Gameweek you miss counts as +3.3 in the season total, the same as 11 players who didn't play.
Your XI is saved on this device. Once you're in a league it's saved to your account too, so you can pick on one device and check on another.
Who are they?
How to play
- You see real results from one Premier League club's season, from 2016–17 to 2025–26. The club is hidden as ???.
- Easy shows 5 results, Normal shows 3 and Hard shows just 1. Pick your mode before your first guess.
- You get 5 guesses at the club, picked from the list. Fewer guesses is better.
- Once it's over, the club is revealed on the results you played with. A new season arrives at midnight (UK time).

Name the player
How to play
- Every day there are three footballers to find: one with a 6-letter surname, one with 7 letters and one with 8. They can be from anywhere in the world, past or present.
- Type any guess with the right number of letters and press Enter. It doesn't have to be a real name, so you can use guesses to test letters.
- Green means the letter is in the right spot, gold means it's in the name but somewhere else, and grey means it isn't in the name.
- Accents are dropped, and names like Van Dijk are written as one word: VANDIJK. You get 6 guesses for each name. New names arrive at midnight (UK time).

Leagues
Play your mates. Join a league with a code, or start up to 3 of your own and share the code.
Who are they?
How to play
- You see a club's final league position one season at a time, starting in 2016–17. Every club spent all ten seasons in the top four divisions, from the Premier League to League Two.
- Guess whenever you like. You start on 10 points, and each extra season you look at costs 1.
- A wrong guess shows the next season too, so it also costs 1. Miss with all ten seasons showing and you score 0.
- Aim for 10 out of 10. A new club arrives at midnight (UK time).
